Shieldmaiden Quote of the Week

Fa-so-la-la
Claire and I take our music very seriously. Our lives have a constant soundtrack--before doing just about anything, we confer on what music to play while doing it.
So today we began a massive project to rescue our room and bathroom from their present state of semi-decay and disrepair, and of course started it off with a discussion on what music to play. I suggested that we give our new Andrea Bocelli album an inaugural spin, and she replied, in dead earnest and without the batting of a single eyelash,
"Oh yes! There's nothing like a little high drama for scrubbing toilets!"

You know...dramafying scrubbing toilets doesn't sound too bad. Who better to dramafy such a mundane task than Andrea Bocelli?

Well I,in fact, *have* that new cd. Bought if for my sweetie for Valentine's Day. And I can tell you that it works very well for a husband's romantic birthday dinner by candlelight and fireglow. (File that away for the indefinable "Future" [ref. poem below].)

Not sure if I can make the leap now to background music for scrubbing toilets. But I'll take your word for it.

That is what happens at our house too!!
We always choose a nice bouncy CD to listen to when we clean.
"The Chieftans," "Songcatchers," "Mozart," and any Celtic are usally what we listen to.

Bocelli may work for scrubbing toilets, but to kick off all-out full-throttle spring cleaning, nothing but the soundtrack from Camelot will do for this girl!

oooh yeah. That'll work well. And M just got that during the holidays.

The soundtrack from Brigadoon is what does it for us. Esp. the opening numbers.

I've just had an epiphany, what if each person was a song. Each with their own genre, title, and mood. It is very amusing to think of different people you know and try to figure out their song.
