update: shenaynay offers virtual m&ms to the first person to cite the quote in fa's post title.
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Little did I know when I turned a page and came upon this passage well over a decade ago that my children's lives would be immeasurably ...

I loved it when little Jenna asked us at church yesterday if we were coming to their "super salad party." From her perspective -- having watched her mom get all the food ready for it -- that's exactly what it appeared to be all about.
And for all the women gathered in the kitchen, that's pretty much what it was. I'm happy to say that I did not watch one single play and had a perfectly fabulous evening.
rock on, shenaynay.
Who was it that said, "Football is violence, punctuated by committee meetings"?
Anyway, I did watch the tail end of the game. Normally, I don't care for either team, but knowing that Peyton Manning contributed to Bob Corker's campaign, and that Barack Obama is cheering for the Bears, did decide my preferences, to some degree. :-)
fa. i'm in line right behind you. sorry i missed the salad party!
It would be cheating, perhaps, for me to identify where the quote comes from, however, by way of a hint, the "sir" is a tad misleading.
of course, it is a P.G. Wodehouse Quote, by Jeeves, but i cant quite remember the book.
P.S. I like blue and orange ones.
Right Ho, Jeeves
nice try, folks, but i'm giving you the gong. wodehouse predates super bowls, after all.
anybody else wish to guess?
Could it be a presidential reference?
If so, I am guessing it was a first lady to Mr. Prez.
Peanuts! Marcie's friend!
I like red ones.
YAY! You got it!
She says it to Peppermint Patty, which is why she says "sir."
I never got why she calls Peppermint Patty, sir anyway?
