A GOOD PUN IS ITS OWN RE-WORD

Great Scot

As many of you know, the denizens of the Beehive, including The Queen, have been away during the last week. As they say, when the cat's away, the mice will play. So, in keeping with my somewhat warped sense of humor, I submit to you the following (in lieu of the more meaningful and weighty posts of the other participants in the Beehive):

Khakis: What you need to start the car in Boston.
Energizer Bunny arrested - charged with battery.
A pessimist's blood type is always b-negative.
I used to work in a blanket factory, but it folded.
If electricity comes from electrons... does that mean that morality comes from morons?
Corduroy pillows are making headlines.
Sea captains don't like crew cuts.
Does the name Pavlov ring a bell?
A successful diet is the triumph of mind over platter.
A gossip is someone with a great sense of rumor.
Without geometry, life is pointless.
When you dream in color, it's a pigment of your imagination.
Reading while sunbathing makes you well-red.
When two egotists meet, it's an I for an I.
Alarms: What an octopus is.
Dockyard: A physician's garden.
Incongruous: Where bills are passed.
Pasteurize: Too far to see.

I feel better now! You can all now go back to your analysis of poetry and literature!

"He who would pun would pick a pocket." :-)

[I'm confident that *somebody* in the Beehive can place that one ...]

Always pleased to see your contributions, Great Scot. You and Spuddy Buddy have a wonderful way of bringing a certain "blue collar reality check" to this blog. I love it! Of course, I enjoy the other stuff too, but the balance is a plus.

I left a comment on your Sporting Spuddy Buddy post, but I tend to leave comments too late to be noticed so you probably didn't notice. Ah, me. Got a soft spot here for that 5-6 year old logic and sense of humor.
