And now, it's time for another installment of Guess That Book. Who can guess, without looking it up, which book of the King James Bible contains the following words?
advertise
booty
suburb
beeves
(yes, beeves.)
Here's your clue that it probably isn't Exodus.
Extra credit: Guess what a beeve is. Without looking it up.
Virtual milk & honey to all who guess correctly.

Well... since the word 'booty' is in there, I expect it is one of those action and adventure books. Most likely Old Testament history. Mr. Honey is guessing 1 Kings. Triss guessed Matthew.
I'll say Genesis. Is not beeves related to bovine, or the Spanish "vaca", otherwise beef, or cows?
Perhaps Joshua? And I'll guess that a beeve is some type of ancient weapon.
i'm "guessing" Numbers. or Leviticus. either one.
Good try, folks!
Numbers it is. I just love it when words like that -- words you don't expect -- pop up in the good old King James.
And extra milk & honey to Setiago and Calamity Jane -- beeves are cattle, and yes, it's from the same root as bovine.
Funny! Mother always loved to point out that "stuff" was a perfectly good Bible word.
