1. Technical excellence
2. Validity
3. Intellectual content, the worldview which comes through
4. The integration of content and vehicle

How does he define validity?

Well, I asked him that, and he said--

"By validity I mean whether an artist is true to himself and to his worldview or whether he makes his art only for money or for the sake of being accepted."
